I am so busy with the kids. I do not really get the time to blog. But I want to tell you that last Friday we took the children to our local Grocery Store and they walked through all the racks. Juanre ofcourse just wanted this trip the be over and done with. She walked so fast. When they were finised walking in the store. The store Manager Mark took the kids to the bakery so we all put on some approns and hats and plastic arm covers I will call it. Then we went into the bakery it was very nice for all the children to see how bread was made. They really enjoyed it.
The kids had to buy fruit that they learned in class. Apples, Bannans, Strawberries, Pears and Oranges. They loved the shopping.
After that we took them to Steers for an icecream.
When they got back to school they ate all their fruit. It was a very good day for them.

Fundraising was a Huge Success

This is our Special Needs Children with their Tutor Milla January. She is really a phenomenal woman. She has a passion for these children that you would not believe anyone can have. We Love you Milla.
Our Function was great we got over R6700.00 in and everybody enjoyed themselves. It was very cold. But the guests soon felt warm at heart as the function continues and the tears flow with amaze at what the children could do.
We bought educational toys we are busy putting in shelves and cupboards and change the class.
We are also in the planning of starting our own SNAP (Special Needs Adapted Program) with the help of Annalise van Rijswijk and her team. So watch this space.

Fundraising progress
Hi
Our Fundraising is getting closer. We are very excited. The tickets are flying. And we are going strong.
Juanre had a seizure early this evening. But she is fine now. I bought the Huisgenoot a family Magazine and Ernie Els is in there telling about his son Ben who is also ASD. It is great to know that he is talking about it. And the way that he supports Autism. I find that here parents do not talk about their children having a special need.
We are still going strong. Tomorrow we have a Market day at school so we are going to be very busy.

Fund Raising
On 12 Junie 2009 we are having a fundraising for Juanre and Ruben's class. We need educational equipment and as you all know that is very expensive.
We are having a Spit Braai and also a Wine Tasting. The WP Wine cellars sponsered us we are so so thankful.
The tickets cost R100 per person. And we believe it is going to be a big event.
I have to go now and get things done for the Fund Raising.

Our live in Pictures
Today I also started a website for us. It is mainly pictures of our lives. You can look at it. Just click on "pictures"/
Our school is having a fundraising for our children's class. We are having a "Spit Braai" It is like barbaque but the whole sheep is on the barbaque. With salads and then we will have 10 tables and 10 moms or teachers selling the tickets for the dinner. I believe it is going to be a great success.
We need the money very urgently. The class need educational goodies.
Milla and I went to a company and they will help us with some funding. We are so exciting.
We are so thankful The Lord is so Good.

Educational Help for Special Needs
I found this fantastic site where I could get educational goodies for my children. I even gave the website address for our children's tutor and she downloads it and use it in the classroom. Do-2-Learn is great.

I believe to give the children natural medication is the best. Each morning I give them Omega 3 capsule and I have to make a hole in it and give it with Scott's Emuljen. Then each of them get a spoonful of Glygonutrients. It really works. They concentrate so much better. Ruben's speech even got a lot more better he started to talk in sentences.
Sometimes I give them Melotone from Sportron. This is a great supplement for Autistic children. Helps them to calm and to concentrate.
When we have to travel far I give them Omega 3 it calms them and we can drive in peace. Other wise Juanre and Ruben will hit each other and just go wild and I do not want that. The roads are so busy and dangerous with all the large trucks.
